What are host families like in New Zealand?

"Oh that’s an interesting question. I’ve had several homestay families. When I first came here, I initially lived with a Kiwi family, and they were pretty nice. It was in Titirangi, which is a really beautiful place. They’re actually pretty kind. What can I say? They’re really nice people. And my second host family, which is where I’m living right now, is living with a Malaysian family, and they can speak my home language, which is really good. Easier to communicate with."
